2020 NeighborWorks Week

This would have been the week of Coalition for a Better Acre's spring kick-off event, the Acre Clean-Up. While we are sad to miss out on the raking, fixing, barbecuing, dancing, and socializing, we are proud of our neighbors for staying safe and taking care of each other these past few months.

Instead we will celebrate NeighborWorks Week at home.

NeighborWorks America creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities. NeighborWorks America provides community development corporations like CBA with financial support, professional development, and countless other tools to help neighbors lead their communities.

Although CBA can't host our usual events, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the community we are building together from home.

Chalk Your Walk:

"Chalk Walks" can be inspirational, interactive, and fun chalk designs created by anyone. The fun part is seeing drawings and activities added over time.

Help us create a “Chalk Walk” with a box of sidewalk chalk which will pop up at CBA buildings. Please “walk and chalk” by adding your own step, kind words, or drawings.

You don't have to be very artistic, just ready to have some fun and make the sidewalk pop!

Stop Light Campaign to Show Solidarity for People of Color

CBA invites Acre residents to participate in a “Stop Light” campaign by creating and hanging signs in your window acknowledging racial injustice and calling for support of the Black community.

To get poster board email Loli at dolores.sierra@cbacre.org

As so many around the world step into the streets to make their voices heard, we want our neighbors to know there are many ways to further racial justice here at home. Check CBA’s Facebook page for sign ideas and photos.
